Research Update (November 2, 2026)

Research Update (November 2, 2026)

Diligence Technologies Inc., West Tennessee

UPCOMING EVENTS:

North Central Weed Science Society, December 7-10, 2026, Columbus, OH

CROPPING SEASONS:

We are winding things down in the field.  Harvest is almost finished with only a few scattered plots to finish off.  We are working hard to get out all the remaining data from the summer.

Also, winter wheat is going in the ground.  If you have any winter wheat trials that require applications in the fall, let us know now so we can get them out before it gets too late.

GREENHOUSE ACTIVITIES:

While things are slowing down in the field, we are just getting things kicked off in the greenhouse this winter.  The greenhouse is open and we have started work on the projects we have in hand at present.

Let us know what you would like to explore in the greenhouse this fall and we will get it started.

WEATHER INFO:

The weather remained largely warm and dry throughout October extending the trend from August.  Crops finished off rapidly this fall as they ran out of moisture.  While this was great for harvest, later planted trials lost some yield as they tried to mature under less than ideal conditions.

PEST INFO:

About the only pests we normally see in the fields this time of year are winter annual weeds.  Later in the winter, we typically get aphids in wheat.  Otherwise, things tend to be quiet in the field until we get warmer weather in the spring.

Our report is short this month as we transition from the field to the greenhouse.

Let us know how we can serve you this winter.
